The governor is catering to the Trump cult of denial. He has no intention of protecting people when Florida has to pay for it. Mitch McConnell is opposed to federal aid to states. At least as long as he feels he can trade it for protection from law suits for businesses.
I wonder if Mitch will run again. By accepting Biden election he is losing voter support.
The governor of Florida is in same boat. Keep cultists happy or lose.

We are waiting for someone, any one of his famous lackeys to PUBLICLY ENDORSE him. As in: I, (… Pence, Barr, Giuliani, Pompeo, Mnuchin, Graham, Miller, Mitch… any powerful Republican…) "ENDORSE THIS MESSAGE".

It is not just Trump and Pence that need to go – we need to get rid of their supporters at all levels of government as well. Trump's supporters are very concerned about restarting the economy – if people die, that's just unfortunate. But we can't have companies losing money! Instead of beating down the virus to allow limited reopenings, they continue to spread misinformation, suppress data gathering and dissemination and attack the professionals ( Dr. Fauci and many others ) who are fighting the virus. They enable Trump in gutting the CDC in the middle of a pandemic, and his suppression of peaceful protests by sending in Federal employees like this country needs to be a police state. They consistently try to reopen businesses and schools without adequate planning or standards. All workers should have Federal protections and standards when returning to the workplace. Americans need to vote ALL these people out of office. But first and foremost, let's get rid of Trump, Pence and Company!

trump is manufacturing the alleged violence of all peaceful protestors everywhere in order to send in troops, jackbooted and unidentifiable thugs, to more and more cities around the country. this is being done, obviously, because (sarcasm warning!) these peaceful protestors around the country AND the globe pose a clear and present danger to the sovereignty of these United States of America (close sarcasm). all they really would eventually cause is a danger to the sovereignty of donald j trump. trump is dispersing all these dubious federal agents until he depletes his storehouse. then who will he employ to complete his intention? volunteers! neo-nazis, white supremacists, kkk, so that the "problem" reflects the general appearance of a population out of control and ready to become a loose-knit gang of usurpers! now would be the time for which trump was eagerly and rabidly awaiting. the RATIONALE to finally declare coast-to-coast and unprecedented martial law!! this ain't no conspiracy theory! ALL SIGNS POINT to this exact situation–trumps excuse "for the safety and well-being of US citizens, topmost on his list of concerns" YEAH, RIGHT!! he would, then, have no choice but to cancel ALL upcoming elections around the nation, citing, of course "the protection and health (oh, and helplessness!) of the citizenry. i'm all for spreading this around to any and all who'll listen. of course, that's just the opinion of the author.

This is in response to Laurence's Jy 23 show (which hasn't been uploaded yet) when he talked about AOC's speech on the House floor and Zerlina Maxwell's response to it. Ms. Maxwell said that women had to learn to deal with situation like AOC's with T. Yoho in order to rise to positions of power. Heck! In some places women have to deal with such episodes to get home at night, or to go to work each day, or pick up their kids at daycare, or shop for groceries. It's not just about ambitious, highly visible women.
Laurence, please keep up the nightly question about DT's lack of response to the apparent placing of a bounty on the life of US soldiers by Vlad Putin. What an outrage! How come nobody talks about the murder of Jamal Khashoggi any more? The thugs of the world are getting away with murder because nobody's willing or able to hold them responsible and act on it.

The Republican Party is building a program to recruit tens of thousands of volunteers in over a dozen states to conduct anti-”voter fraud” efforts, which means monitoring polls and challenging votes and voter registrations, according to the New York Times.

The party, backed by Donald Trump, is spending $20 million on its efforts, which intends to recruit up to 50,000 volunteers in 15 states to “monitor polling places and challenge ballots and voters deemed suspicious,” the Times reports. The money is also intended to fight Democratic-backed lawsuits against alleged voter suppression efforts on the part of Republicans.

What does our Man/Baby-In-Chief plan to do when school districts open and NO kids attend? A mandate to open schools is a mandate to infect and WEAPONIZE children who, though they may not suffer the virus as acutely as adults, can CARRY the virus and INFECT family members at home.

the world needs every decent Republican to vote for Biden, rather than staying home, & there are millions of you. this demented man must be trounced in this Election, taking away his right, to cast doubt & not accept the result.. so to you patriotic Americans, .please LEND your vote to the democrats, up & down the ballot, & finish this guys brand of Republicanism once & for all …….

WHEN Biden wins, perhaps a NEW Ronald Reagan, will emerge , and HIS phrase of ' welcoming NEW Americans, ' instead of these CARAVANS of LEPERS , which spews forth from TRUMP & his friends at FOX..

Trump suffers the consequences of poor staffing choices

Published

Jen Psaki looks at why Donald Trump is likely regretting staffing his administration based on culture war credibility rather than competence as FBI director Kash Patel’s antics appear to have reached critical mass, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is spending energy being upset about beards while being unable to end the war with Iran, and Vice President JD Vance is buying himself a multi-million dollar estate in the midst of a political season in which “affordability” is the biggest theme.
