Until Thursday morning, hundreds of thousands of Haitians were legally living and working in the United States, along with thousands of Syrians. Now, their work permits are set to expire and their deportation protections will be terminated, throwing them in legal limbo.
The abrupt change in fate stems from the Supreme Court decision which found that the Department of Homeland Security had broad discretion in determining when to extend or terminate a form of humanitarian relief known as Temporary Protected Status.

Emergency responders took Sen. Mitch McConnell to an ambulance on a stretcher after being called to his home last month for a report of an unconscious person, according to new video of the incident and an eyewitness account.
A neighbor of McConnell told CNN that they opened their door to find commotion outside their home at around 8:30 a.m. on June 14, with two ambulances, a fire truck and Capitol Police officers blocking the entire street.
The neighbor said they learned from another eyewitness who saw the individualâs face that the person on the stretcher was McConnell and he was not wearing an oxygen mask.

Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky on Sunday announced, after weeks of speculation, that he had a fall last month that landed him in the hospital.
McConnell also provided a photo showing him smiling next to his wife, Elaine Chao. He appears to have a copy of Sundayâs Washington Post sports section on his lap.

When I was in 4th grade, I had a pile of eraser shavings in my desk and someone reported it as âexplosivesâ and I was pulled to the principals office with police officers and chewed out and told that I almost had the school on a bomb threat shut down.. over a pile of eraser shavings.. and Iâm as white as it gets. In todays age, with everything politically going on, a teacher can not mess around with even the slightest potential of a deadly weapon. You canât blame them for being scared or that âclockâ. Fact: Actual suit case bombs do use clock internals as their detonating timer device so..
