OpenAI model declared itself ‘freed’ from human control
OpenAI found additional incidents of AI models acting deceptively and taking unsanctioned actions during training, the company announced Wednesday. It’s also introducing a new process for the company to publicly report such instances.
Under the new system, OpenAI will share updates on concerning AI behavior more frequently instead of waiting to bundle multiple instances into one report. The company said it wants to share more information about troubling AI behavior in the absence of an industry-wide standard.

we will never have the death penalty without killing innocents. get rid of it
@Dragon34th

I permit it. Just make sure the wrong person doesn't end up on the chair wasting valuable leathal medecine & causing suffering to their innocent family. They need to pay with their lives the same ways they've taken the victim's lives as a lesson for others thinking of doing it.

I have to be against the death penalty because of how many people are wrongfully convicted. There should be a difference for OBVIOUSLY guilty people (such as this), and people who confess (without pressure)- they SHOULD get the death penalty.

Some people definitely deserve to be put down. I don’t support it because it becomes someone’s “job” to be the executioner I can’t imagine doing that. Forced labor is better for society.

I get there are people out there that don’t like the death penalty because they feel it’s slow and painful well here’s another solution firing squad that’s quick

execution is not as much a punishment as it is a measure taken to ensure the condemned cannot repeat their acts
rotting in prison is punishment, swift death not so much

I'm all for the death sentence
@matthewstewart5113
January 19, 2024 at 6:30 pm
Elected officials carry out the sentence personally and publicly. It is your duty as an elected official to flip the switch, push the button, pull the blade. Seppuku is the only way the convicted can give the family name back honor . All done publicly on the court house steps . The family of the convicted can clean the steps 24hrs after death.

Certain crimes just has to have the death penalty. Anything against a child should be automatic.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Live by the gun, die by the gun (or lethal injection, electricity, whatever). I dont care if its not a fucking deterrent. Its not about that. It’s about the final piece of justice being served to the victim and his/her family.

I will tell you by observation
If you choose death, you will suffer the Karma of death. That means lack of Appreciation of life will be the mindset of your family and Community. Thoughts are Karma.

Death is the easy way out !! Make them stay in a cell for 23 hours a day !! And with grown ups hurting children and woman sexually , don't put them in a prison that just holds inmates that sexually assault people . Send them to a real prison and put them in G-Pop !!! Let them suffer they way they made the children and grownups suffer for the rest of their life !!

People are rebellious and resentfull, they want Justice for Justice to be served they would spend their life in jail.

January 19, 2024 at 6:30 pm
What I don't understand is why do people want the death penalty? They may very well repent and end up with Jesus, in heaven as opposed to Earth which is ruled by Satan, when it clearly states in the Bible that God decides when you die. That's what I don't get the debate on. So in all actuality you may be freeing the perpetrator. I think jail is hell, and if you really want someone to suffer you wouldn't keep him there.

The death penalty would be appropriate if (and only if) the justice system didn't keep convicting the wrong people for some of the most serious crimes.

I'm not left leaning in my viewpoints but I still say the death penalty is not a proven deterrent to somebody committing a homicide.
