While it's great to see a bit of Republican push back against the Trumputin cult, it isn't surprising to hear the same fundamental lies being repeated. His careful and deliberate choice to deny the fact that the constitution's fourteenth amendment prohibits any such insurrectionists from holding public office so as not to anger his obscenely misinformed "base" clearly demonstrates that he (like almost all Republicans) remains a fascist enabler and collaborator. His branch of Republicans is trying to hedge their bets in a desperate attempt to retain some power even if the(ir) fascist insurrection fails to finally corrupt and curtail democracy in our country completely. What's (finally) come out as the mainstream Republican plan is to do whatever it takes to shut down the government, cripple all democratic processes and institutions and support oligarchs' autocrats, despots, and privateering capitalists continued control over this fragile and precious little world.

Imagine how much more functional our Government would be with Chris Christie (vs Trump) as POTUS, and either Jeffries as Speaker of the House vs Jim Jordan (or a subsequent republican appointee replacing Jeffries, but without gap in Speakership as happened after McCarthy was removed).
