The fallacy of Chris Hayes and Rep. Omar’s approach is that the ICC is a criminal court. It tries individuals for war crimes and if they are found guilty they are given prison sentences.
As in any criminal trial, no compensation is paid to the victims of the war crimes. Will they feel justice has been done because certain individuals have been sentenced to prison? Will Rep. Omar? Chris Hayes? I seriously doubt it
