   Ive seen old WWII veterans who are barely able to stand, slowly rise and fight just to stand up for our national athem.

   Completely unnecssary remark. I'm an Army veteran who works for the military now. We should be fighting for folks to have free speech (1st Amendment) rights. The "take a knee" nonsense did not hurt anyone physically it was about others wanting to assert control over others. While folks at home eating wings, pizza, or in the bathroom during the National Anthem, they expected other to act "appropriately." Have you seen the beer lines at football games during the anthem? They're huge. So, let's not pretend this was anything other than what it was a peaceful protest that most right-wing folks hated. Plain and simple. Poilical correctness is really about one thing, trying to be respectful of differences. The world is gray, not black and white.

    This just means you don't know your own history. Because in Fort Bragg NC there is a statue of a soldier named "IRON MIKE" taking a knee holding up the AMERICAN Flag. He did it to say when you can't stand take a knee to hold the value of our Country and GOD. The Flag and the National Anthem are one in the same they represent in our Country. It was a Soldier that told Kaepernick to take a knee in Honor of upholding the values of the Country and in prayer to GOD. People take a knee to pray and to honor Royalty. Sounds like racism to me. WE THANK ALL OF YOU FOR SERVING OUR COUNTRY IN EVERY BRANCH OF MILITARY. GOD BLESS YOU AND GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Peace and Love Always

    Military Vet here and I will say this, Whether I agree or disagree with kneeling, we fought for that right to do so, So your opinion does not matter Mr. Admiral, and you should be stripped of your Chevrons for your statement alone. You obviously do not understand or feel the pain of others. Listen 1st before you comment, you do not deserve the leadership you were promoted too.

    So everyone blames Colin kneeling the flag b/c of being disrespectful. I believe everyone misinterpreted on why he knee. He knee b/c of the "injustice" of our system. Not disrespecting the flag. Call it what you want. It's a matter of yalls opinion. I'm in Navy btw and I don't find his message being disrespectful. I find it that our justice system is corrupted.

    The gentleman that served 50 or more years ago had voting rights and soldiers in the world wars had to eat separately from their own white soldiers!!!! So all I'm saying is that the feelings of coarse are not mutual.
