No words or thoughts for the poor girl that was left to bleed to death. That is a crime against humanity. No closure for the parents until the real truth comes out of that fatal night.

Dear CNN, you are wrong on the "again". This was not a new trial. It was a repeat of her own first appeal. She failed, so the trial conviction stands for now.

TO ALL: Research catathymic sexual homicide for a better understanding as to motive, and the parallels between Knox's pathology and this type of complex offender profile. Put simply, a catathymic sexual homicide arises from underlying sexual conflicts that originated from the offender's long-standing fixation with, or disturbed attachment to, the victim (Meredith). Knox had become increasingly obsessed with Meredith, jealous of her, and perceived her mere existence as a threat to her sexuality and fractured ego. These types of homicides are typically precluded by stalking, which we know Knox participated in based on her own statements, witness statements, and cell/text history the evenings of the 31st and 1st – where she had desperately attempted to reach Meredith in an effort to hang out with her, knowing very well that Meredith had already disclosed to her that she would be with her British friend's on both evenings.

After aimlessly walking around Perugia, alone in her cat costume on Halloween night 2007, Knox literally stalked Meredith to the Merlin Pub where she was with her British friends; this, being the final perceived rejection from Meredith, with the added trigger of Lumumba just recently informing her that he was interested in hiring Meredith, and ultimately being told not to come into work that fateful night, Knox was determined to humiliate Meredith and obtain a reaction from her – essentially seeking some form of narcissistic supply.
In Knox' deluded state of mind, the mere existence of Meredith had become so strong a perceived threat that Knox physically could not endure the emotional tension which had gradually built up within her, thus resulting in a catathymic release of anger and violence. Knox' behavior, both pre and post murder, is a classically defined catathymic crisis.

She did it dude, wow. Why no polygraph test?

  5. @mzedification

    December 16, 2023 at 1:29 pm

Notice she never says, "I'm innocent!" or "I didn't do this!".  One theory is that she and the boyfriend were so blasted on several drugs and booze that she really does Not remember. Unfortunately the police did not test for such. It is the errors that created the gaps in this case. If not for them it seems she would be clearly found innocent or guilty by efficient evidence collection.

American news is shite talk about a bias. Is this news or CNN defence for the knox team? How come they don't bother looking at footage from merediths side. See how her family are reacting? It's so skewered it stinks. I'm glad I have the bbc news at times like this. She's guilty with her crocodile tears

  8. @catherineking6898

Amanda knox is not the victim in this case

In my opinion she seems guilty her blood and the victims blood were in the house in the room that was destroyed and so many facts lead up to her and her b.f being the killer.. Just saying.

She should go back to Italy. Justice must be done. We can't have a convicted murderess running around among our children.

She got $4 million for the book deal. Her parents and family mortgaged their homes to pay for her defense…but $4m? Did she make money from this???

Seen hours of footage and interviews but never any real tears…

  14. @yolilyholo6626

    December 16, 2023 at 1:29 pm

She might be a honour student and blah blah blah, lets get real – psychopaths are very clever people, her good old 'holding back of the tears' could be nothing more than a mimic of normal human emotion.

At the end of the day, all of the Americans on here whining about people condemning them for supporting Knox need to realise that it's about the way she has conducted herself, writing books, doing glossy interviews etc – meanwhile Kercher's family are still trying to grieve for their lost daughter.

An unarmed black boy (minding his own business) is killed by gunfire when walking home. Verdict: The black boy is guilty.

A pretty white girls dna is found on a murder weapon, she has no alibi. Verdict: She must be innocent, no question.

Welcome to the US. She could be the next pretty little Sara Palin maybe.

I bet Good Morning America loved the Ratings???
I'm starting not to believe Amanda as much as I did in the beginning.
There is a lot of evidence against her. I'm just saying.
Why did she lie in the beginning regarding her where a bouts the night of the murder?? There would be no reason to lie if you had nothing to do with it??
Plus there is other stuff that just doesn't make any sense…I hope I'm wrong for her sake!

    December 16, 2023 at 1:29 pm

The prosecution has made up this fantasy story from the beginning. It makes no sense. The murder was solved a long time and the guilty party is in prison. Rudy Guede broke into the apartment, raped the victim and killed her. The prosecution had already settled in on Amanda and her boyfriend and they had to create a fantastic story of conjecture to include them. The prosecution alleges that They found Rudy Guede, a total stranger to them and had him come to the apartment to help rape and kill Amanda's roommate. Supposedly, they then broke out a window to make it look like a break-in. They then allegedly carried out this plot without ever getting any of their DNA on the victim although Rudy Guede semen was found on the victim. There is not one shread of evidence that either of them ever met Rudy Guede. There is no motive put forth. Amanda was promiscuous. Amanda did cartwheels in the police station. That is their evidence. Outrageous. Can somebody put fourth any rational explanation of how they believe this girl carried out this crime? I know you can't. The prosecution version of events are totally outrageous. Who believes this ridiculous story?

    December 16, 2023 at 1:29 pm

HOW COME, Your Italian courts let her leave??? Do you have a trial once every two years on murders and just let them go? Don't blame Amanda for being FREE, BLAME ITALY…. Rudy Guido committed the murder, gets 16 years, Amanda was freed by ITALY and gets 29 YEARS OF HARD LABOR??? ALL OF ITALY IS BIASED. I THINk this has more to do with the Incident Accident where one of our brave FIGHTER PILOTS, Accidentally hit a Italian ski gondola that was not on his maps. He was very sorry, but you Italians wanted him to go to PRISON FOR LIFE!!!. An apology to him is in order.

What the Court did in the original Trial was Unethical illegal,They need to be Punished.,= Punished and Sentenced by a Circle of Nations=Forced to adhere a New Law., Enacted and Known as the The Amanda Knox Law –>>(Not to overide The Right to A Fair Trial)

Knox reminds me of one of Charlie Manson's girls, Susan Atkins, Leslie Van Houten, and Patricia Krenwinkel. So doped up on drugs the night of the murder, you can't remember where you were or what you did. That's why Knox has given the authorities several different alibis for her whereabouts, and even accused an innocent man. How about reasonable explanation from a  "JUSTICE FOR AMANDA"  LOL advocate?

  24. @OsvaldoMenegazzi

    December 16, 2023 at 1:29 pm

She is Guilty! She is a liar! Not only because she's an american lady is innocent. Nationality is not so important if she killed a roommate.

  25. @herodot2593

    December 16, 2023 at 1:29 pm

The discussion has become too ugly for anything productive coming out of it – a common feature is that peoples' convictions are stronger than their knowledge of the case.

My five cents are that there is a lot of evidence in this case that point to Sollecito and Knox committing Kercher's murder jointly with Guede (saying there is no evidence is simply a ludicrous statement and says a lot about the person making and nothing about the case). The question is whether the evidence suffices for proving their guilt beyond reaonsable doubt.

Further, many weaknesses have been exposed regaring the operations of Italy's legal system and the police. They include a theatralic state attorney, and police making bad blunders (which allowed the S/K defense to throw a lot of evidence out). But this does not change the fact that evidence in the case hangs in the balance. Further, in the US we're pretty much the last ones that should blame others of imperfect judicial operations.

In my view the evidence falls just short of being beyond reasonable doubt.

    December 16, 2023 at 1:29 pm

Some of you are so quick to judge the Italian justice system, when the same system convicted Rudy Guede! So I guess the Italian's got it all wrong even Guede is innocent right? Your Glam girl Amanda lying Knox got a book deal out of this murder a movie deal all the publicity. She even set up her own PR firm to make the brianless believe she was innocent. She had no problem with sending a innocent man to jail! And for those who say she bullied by the police were you there to witness this? Its her word again! Some of you think she was sentenced in iran or Afghanistan! Its italy a country that part of the European union. To all the Knox lovers bring prof to the tabke that she is innocent!

It wasn't right and it wasn't fair that you butchered Meredith either Amanda. You made a huge mistake that night and now you must pay for it. You are a pretty woman but your soul is black and you feel only for yourself.

  40. @shaolinfingajab4145

    December 16, 2023 at 1:29 pm

If she goes to prison in the UK or US, I would prefer that… Spoilt brat like her would be easy prey. If you can not do the time, do not do the crime. Simple really.

  41. @annewhite9850

    December 16, 2023 at 1:29 pm

The courts found her guilty, she is a manipulative, conniving piece of work. Her parents are going broke defending her she owes them the truth. A young woman was murdered, she accused a perfectly innocent man of the crime. That tells you everything you need to know about her character. I suppose a campaign by Americans with backing by their legislators will begin to keep her in America. Americans need to realise that extradition works two ways, if a court in another country finds you guilty and sentences you to a prison term, then they have to extradite. God help the Americans if they try to keep the killer of a British national from receiving her due punishment. We British are the fairest in world, she had her days in court now send Meredith's killers back to prison where they belong. If you don't the wrath of the British public will come down on your American heads.

This lying sociopathic bitch should just do the decent thing and kill herself.

  43. @5Mariner

    December 16, 2023 at 1:29 pm

Here's my view. If she committed this crime in Italy, and was given a fair trial, then she should serve her time in an Italian prison.
