I'd like to see which one last the longest in life and which one is a better buy at a million miles. Many trucks hit a million and rebuild and resell. I wonder what a replacement battery for that monster is going to cost. There are a lot of different vehicles in the us and it should stay that way.

The Tesla semi is a joke…. It’s not there yet and it’s not even close to what a diesel can do cleanly and efficiently. Love Elon but #don’tbelievethehype

California doesn’t have the electricity to charge all the vehicles that are going to be on the road.

Maybe this is a dumb idea, but why not put the bulk of the battery on the trailer. It could be charging while it’s docked and getting loaded. The truck could have a small 50 mile internal battery and would simply hook up to the next fully charged and loaded up trailer.

Unless these are being charged by nuclear, which is great, they're being charged at night with coal or something else that's dirtier than Diesel, during the day via solar panels made by slaves in China, by batteries (that were charged by solar) made with the tears of mining children -or by magic.

Either way, GTFO with the claims of zero emissions or some other unharmful magic loophole.

California wouldn’t let people charge their EVs last summer because the grid couldn’t handle the load, this is another joke when it comes time to charge these trucks.

There is no progress without hype and ambition. Just look at TV, mobile phones, Computers, etc. Are they as good as we would like? No, no they are not, is it a step in the right direction? Yes, yes it is. More electric vehicles will push innovation batteries will improve, new technology will come to be, that new energy technology will be usable for other devices.

The Tesla semi truck is a beast! So if I was a young man looking to get in the trucking industry, I’d be putting my money on a Tesla semi truck and then I would start to reinvest and buy multiple trucks with the hopes that someday, I won’t even need a driver to drive them. Cheers 🥂
