A new government report shows that IRS audits brought in $6.5 billion in the fiscal year 2025, which is down 35% from the year before when the IRS brought in $10 billion. The drop comes after DOGE made cuts to the IRS. Katy Tur has more details.

The solution to this is to CHANGE THE SENATE RULES! No one Senator should be able to do this, ever, no one in that chamber is qualified to second guess the military on promotions, so why oh why on earth can they do this? Bc this is how it's been done for decades…that's not a good reason, it's lazy. Maybe, back in the days when Repugs actually followed norms, this wouldn't be a prob, but now, the bulk of elected Repugs largely ONLY care about Culture Wars. So even if Tommy Tuberville stops acting a fool, some other fool Repug will come along and will do the same thing. The Senate needs to change this rule, stop Coach Tommy's idiocy, and make sure no Senator can ever again pull crap like this.

Jen needs to have less of a snarky tone in her presentation. I had to stop watching because of it. It's like hearing a clever adolescent make an argument. A hint of snark here and there is fine, but she has a snide little comment at the beginning and end of every segment. And to be clear, I am not here to defend racist southern sheriff Tuberville. He's just awful.
