The Wall Street Journal has a new two-part feature detailing what it describes as Europe’s ‘rupture’ with the United States following this week’s NATO Summit in Turkey. The Journal reports that President Trump’s tariff’s and threats to take Greenland has sparked a quote, “rebellion” amongst European leaders who are now drawing limits on so-called “flattery diplomacy.” The paper reports many leaders now view autonomy as the long-term goal,. Rather than a temporary measure, adding that even if leadership changes the era of relying on America so heavily had ended. The reporters behind the story join Morning Joe to discuss the ground-breaking revelations.

The Trump administration issued subpoenas on Friday to several journalists for The New York Times, after the paper reported on security concerns involving President Trump’s new Qatari-donated Air Force One. In some cases, the subpoenas were delivered by federal agents who showed up at reporters’ homes. The subpoenas seek to force the reporters to testify before a federal grand jury in Manhattan on Wednesday, and are an extraordinary escalation in President Trump’s efforts to threaten and intimidate independent news organizations. NYT Investigative reporter Michael Schmidt joins Morning Joe with more on this developing story.

Ya the cuban broadcaster dudes aunt was married to Castro and his family's origin were communists and part of Castro's communist dictatorship, why doesn't he tell the truth of his family's history and that is why she recognized him on the street. She was fighting against Castro's dictatorship while his family was a part of Castro's dictatorship government serving communism. Hmmmm one has to wonder how many ties to that government there still are today???

For those Americans, especially the youth that don't support the Ukrainian funding, will find out what being drafted into WWIII truly means. If the Ukrainians are willing to fight and die to protect this nation and the world's democratic governments, then every American should be digging deep to support them Because if you don't then you will be taking their place on the battlefield…Just sayin'

US defense budget of $715bn for 2022. The Ukraine assistance represents 5.6% of total US defense spending. Russia is a primary adversary of the US, a top tier rival not too far behind China, its number one strategic challenger. In cold, geopolitical terms, this war provides a prime opportunity for the US to erode and degrade Russia’s conventional defense capability, with no boots on the ground and little risk to US lives. I say give Ukraine that 5.6% again each year to defend us all against autocracy and dictators foreign and domestic.

So proud of my Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Who knew how well he would age when we first handed him power. But aside from being a cool young dude, he did so many things well. First the march up to the hill. (yes he actually took a bus and then walked to his office) He did it hand in hand with a diverse caucus of men and women of all colors and national roots.
Then standing proud next to leaders around the globe including the Trump cult.
And now still relevant after several terms with all the attacks them come with the job.

The war is going slowly in Ukraine bc modern warfare requires air support, and bc the West hemmed and hawed and dragged their feet about providing Ukraine F-16s, the planes and trained pilots didn't make it in time for the Spring offensive. I've seen vid of these Ukrainian soldiers painstakingly setting up artillery, taking their shots, then having to re-locate their huge rocket launcher, bc every time they'd shoot, Russian jets would start to hone in on their position, and there are no Ukrainian jets to protect them. So, they'd have to move to another location. You can't win a war without war planes anymore, it's not 1910 anymore.

Why expect people to dress formally when they act like children and have the temerity or lack of ordinary respect for the office to call the President a liar to his face. Both houses of congress act without respect every day. They talk like Donald Trump who never respects anybody including the men and women in uniform who were either wounded or killed in action.
