Televising the trial will not only convince the people that Donald Trump and his co-conspirators need to be prosecuted but also will expose those congressmen and representative who also cooperated with Donald Trump and claimed they believed the election was stolen when they know they did not believe that for the sake of getting reelected to their office.

Those Representatives need to be exposed also so the people can know who their representatives are and what they stand for when they go to the polls to vote.

When the Donald Dictator is convicted, must he serve time in prison/jail, or will he serve time at "home" and will not be allowed to travel anywhere. Does anyone know how the sentencing conditions will be, must he go to jail with other prisoners? The way he behaves and for what he did, he should have been sent to a labor camp in Siberia on bread and water.

The problem isn't that what he said is factually incorrect. The way he worded it is true. The problem is that it's a strawman, as trump is not being charged with violating the Constitution. He's charged with violating the laws, which the Constitution gives legislature the authority to enact and the executive the authority to enforce, surrounding processings also laid out in the Constitution. So while the Constitution itself is not technically not criminal law, that's nothing more than a red herring.

  27. @dahn57

    December 20, 2023 at 3:53 am

Trump wants to be able to tell anyone and everyone whatever he wants, so he can threaten and bully witnesses into not testifying.
The Judge should order Trump to stand in front of her, without his lawyers between them, and justify WHY he thinks he can threaten HER, the Government, witnesses and everyone else involved in the case.
She should lock him up until the Case comes to Court, that would stop all the delaying tactics that Trump and his lawyers are attempting to use to push it back past the Election, in the hope that he can put himself in power, one way or another.

Maddow: Trump learns the hard way, ‘incompetence has consequences’

Published

on

By

Rachel Maddow examines the confusing mix of contradictory, impulsive decisions and petty tantrums that constitutes Donald Trump’s agenda. She notes that the result is an almost complete loss of U.S. allies around the world, and that only three states have a net-positive opinion of him. Even in those states, voters are handing him election losses by proxy.

President Trump launched the U.S. into a new trade war with Canada, imposing 50% tariffs on $20 billion worth of Canadian goods. MS NOW Senior White House Reporter Vaughn Hillyard provides more context on how Canada was “the top importer of American goods” prior to 2024. Plus, Jared Bernstein, Senior Fellow for Economic Policy at the Center for American Progress, joins The Weeknight to discuss how Trump’s escalating trade war with Canada could cost American consumers even more.
