Jen Psaki reports on Donald Trump giving Russian President Vladimir Putin another big boost by dropping sanctions to allow Russia to move more diesel fuel to market and suggested the U.S. would be among the buyers. Trump even thanked Putin, even though the diesel release is not expected to be enough to change global diesel prices, but will yield billions for Russia to spend on its war against ostensible U.S. ally, Ukraine. Joe Scarborough and the Morning Joe panel discuss Trump appearing to favor Putin over Zelenskyy. This comes as Trump insists the two warring nations have agreed to a so-called “energy ceasefire” — despite Zelenskyy saying Moscow continues firing on Ukrainian energy sites and Russia declining to say it has agreed to any ceasefire. Plus, several senators — including four Republicans — called for Trump to “immediately reverse course” on the diesel plan, adding: “The United States should not provide Putin with a financial lifeline while Russia continues to kill Ukrainian civilians.”

I think they are looking at the wrong polls. SCOTUS approval Sept 2020 62%. Post-Dobbs/RvW 41%. Congress 2021 with Biden laws passed 36%; Now 20%. What do they have in common? Republicans took over; Trump SCOTUS appointees removed rights, Republican-led House is doing nothing but electing Speakers and wasting tax dollars on committees. How many times have we heard "why isn't Biden doing something"b, like student forgiveness (blocked by Republicans), debt default (held up by Republicans), border security (Republicans unwilling to work in a humane way with Dems). Now we have another "war" that somehow is his fault for following (historically) support for Israel. He is trying to stop fighting and get help, but they are their own nation, and the only "chip" is financial, which is determined by Congress, and Hamas broke the truce. Point is though, these polls that show serious disapproval of these 2 institutions, is dragging his polling down too because he is the sitting president and the average voter blames the sitting president for things out of his control.

Democrats know the 2024 election is looking like the 1980 Reagan landslide victory where 44 states voted Republican. In 2024, Democrats are hoping it's not the votes that count, it's He who counts the votes. (Aka., Dominion Voting Systems). Free countries should not have privately owned voting systems.
