Meadows was trying to get Raffensberger to get the hint that the president wanted more votes created.

    December 22, 2023 at 1:46 pm

So Meadows says asking about the election was his job, all the litigation was over by then, the court cases were all thrown out, meaning there was absolutely no evidence of any systematic fraud in the election, which in turn means the phone call was being made as a last ditched effort to get Raffensperger to change or as Trump says, find votes. That's not the job of a chief of staff, in fact there is a law that says he can't have anything to do with elections.

Meadows has a lot more explaining to do to escape from his behavior. We can see his guilt just by listening to his language and the tone of his voice on the tape. He had the same choice others had. He could have quit and walked away. Granted he might have wanted his resignation to be explained as a health problem or a family need. But Meadows was really just as eager to further his boss's crimes as Trump was. He and Trump were recorded, and we are thankful for it. We can now hear Meadows trying to further Trump's desire to destroy the votes of eligible voters by convincing Georgia officials to "find votes" (nonexistent votes) as Trump quite plainly put it. Trump was asking those Georgia officials to lie, to destroy votes, to deny the meaning of votes, to treat Georgia voters as though they were meaningless, useless, undeserving nothings. Meadows knew what he was doing. He knows it right now, today, yet he keeps trying to find excuses for himself. He drank the Trump koolaid, and it killed his honor. He should pay the price like everyone else.

Yeah. Let's get smarter. With the woman with the smile so gorgeous she could distract you from the fact that she just reported a nuclear bomb went off on the moon.

Trump hasn't even given a "next term" agenda, credible, useful, the people in mind. He is a hate fiiled candidate which the Constitution legally eliminated from running. Yet here we have him, obfuscating polls paid by the rich who want him back for greater economic gain.

  16. @mf7482

    December 22, 2023 at 1:46 pm

Mark Meadows, ie court jester, the role of keeping the king happy. That's a laugh, also a laugh, all the effort he expends trying to flee the RICO statute, by claiming his acts as a federal employee, is a violation of the Hatch Act. So Mark Meadows violated both RICO and Hatch.

The defence is "they didn't show me any evidence, but it felt right to me. So how could it be wrong?"……

  18. @floridagirl4407

    December 22, 2023 at 1:46 pm

Sure Mark. And if the owners of my company asked to commit tax fraud… I would do it, not expecting any personal consequences… NOT!
It is my job to know what the laws are, and my job to make sure they understand and follow those laws. And if that ever went wrong, it would be on my head, as well… just like you. Get out of you fantasy land, be a man for once in your pathetic life, and own up to your part of the crimes.

It's not just the call, which is gross election interference. He went to Georgia in person to try to interfere, because the call didn't work. GOP: illegal acts, conspiracy, forgery, defamation, corruption, obstruction…

Rep. Dean: Trump ‘Lit The Match’ That Caused The Capitol Hill Riots | Andrea Mitchell | MSNBC

Published

on

By

Congresswoman and impeachment manager Madeleine Dean (D-PA) tells Andrea Mitchell that President Trump “lit the match,” causing the riots at the Capitol on January 6. Dean also pushed back on the notion that impeaching a former president is unconstitutional. “And we do know, number one, it is constitutional because the text of the constitution is not just about removal as a result of impeachment and conviction but also future disqualification. The framers knew very much the threat of mobs and demagogues,” she said. Aired on 01/25/2021.

Sen. Murphy: Proposed Relief Bill ‘Could Get Us Through What Could Be A Very Hard And Deadly Winter’

Published

on

By

Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) joins Andrea Mitchell to discuss the proposal of a $908 billion COVID relief bill by a bipartisan group of senators as 14 million Americans could lose unemployment aid by the end of December. Sen. Murphy says, “This amount of money could get us through what could be a very hard and deadly winter. This isn’t big enough to be able to get us to the point where the entire country is vaccinated. But it might be enough to make sure that millions of Americans don’t go hungry, don’t starve, don’t die out on the streets this winter when their jobless benefits expire and when protections for evictions expire.” Aired on 12/01/2020.
