The Wall Street Journal has a new two-part feature detailing what it describes as Europe’s ‘rupture’ with the United States following this week’s NATO Summit in Turkey. The Journal reports that President Trump’s tariff’s and threats to take Greenland has sparked a quote, “rebellion” amongst European leaders who are now drawing limits on so-called “flattery diplomacy.” The paper reports many leaders now view autonomy as the long-term goal,. Rather than a temporary measure, adding that even if leadership changes the era of relying on America so heavily had ended. The reporters behind the story join Morning Joe to discuss the ground-breaking revelations.

The Trump administration issued subpoenas on Friday to several journalists for The New York Times, after the paper reported on security concerns involving President Trump’s new Qatari-donated Air Force One. In some cases, the subpoenas were delivered by federal agents who showed up at reporters’ homes. The subpoenas seek to force the reporters to testify before a federal grand jury in Manhattan on Wednesday, and are an extraordinary escalation in President Trump’s efforts to threaten and intimidate independent news organizations. NYT Investigative reporter Michael Schmidt joins Morning Joe with more on this developing story.

Excellent medical care, for trump, while he works to deny millions of Americans their medical care and to remove the protection from being denied coverage for pre-existing conditions. Millions of Americans will have a pre-existing condition when they recover or partially recover from Covid. Trump , the grifter, is lying about when he contracted COVID-19 ….if he did . If he did then leaving the hospital may well be a fatal mistake. He’s already been given the only semi- effective medications early in the disease process leaving little to fall back on when or if the disease progresses.

FACT:NBC News anchor Brian Williams conceded on Wednesday that a story he had told about being under fire while covering the invasion of Iraq in 2003 was false.
Williams said he was not aboard a helicopter that was hit by enemy fire and forced down — a story he retold as recently as last week during a televised tribute to a retired soldier during a New York Rangers hockey game.
