The Republican Party abandoned reasonable party ideals long ago and replaced them with a single political one— opposition to Democrats whenever possible, thus positioning themselves squarely against our Constitution in word and spirit, even to the extent that today they rationalize morphing their party into nothing less than a criminal syndicate, hostile to any law they don't want to abide by. Little wonder that they would support Trump even more AFTER his attempted overthrow of the U.S. government and continue to ignore his many other crimes, as well.
