"Excercise-induced asthma is not an excuse." <—– Precisely why I had a feeling no one would take me seriously as a teen struggling in PE.

Treating asthma is very simple. In the early stages of an asthma attack, drinking herbal decoction will prevent future asthma attacks.❤❤❤❤❤😂

Use preventative meds if your doc says to. But most of us can reduce exercise-induced asthmatic symtoms by inhaling and exhaling through your nose only. Check out BOLT (Body Oxygen Level Test). Practice the BOLT exercise reguarly (hold breath after exhalation for as long as you can).

My childhood asthma completely went away as an adult but I had a really bad asthma attack while doing deadlifts at the gym. It's weird cuz I do like zone 2 mild cardio without any problems but when I do deadlifts or squats it uses so much oxygen so quickly. I couldn't get my breath back after the set was over. It was like I was still being depleted further after I had already stopped

Drink 8 to 10 cups of water & put some sea salt on the tongue after drinking daily. Details are found in the the book “Water for Health, for Healing, for Life (You are not sick, you are thirsty)” by Dr Batmanghelidhj(author of “Your Body Many Cries for Water)”.

Drink 2 cups of water upon waking up. Drink 1 cup of 💧 1/2 hour before each meal. Drink 1 cup of 💧 2 1/2 hour(dehydrated) after each meal), when thirsty & b4 exercise.
When breathless, drink 2 cups of water with seasalt.

The 2nd part of the video by Dr Batmanghelidhj covers asthma. There are many testimonies (improvement of other health conditions) in the comments section.

I was 6 when I first got diagnosed with Exercise induced asthma, I’m 15 now and it’s just as bad. For years I put off school sports because I thought it’d be too painful. But now I realize it has to hurt for it to go away, so I am trying out for soccer in a few days at my school. Ima edit this comment next year to update if it’s gone away

I think I have exercise induced asthma/bronchoconstriction but I haven't gone to the doctor's for confirmation, meaning I have no inhaler/medication and everytime I do any kind of small running or large running I'm out of breath in the first few seconds. I had to stop during a pe hockey lesson just because It was so hard to catch air, I felt really sick and light headed but I just waited until the end of the lesson where I started coughing alot and was losing my voice.
I don't know if this is enough for me to go to the doctor's for.
Edit: I also have a heavy feeling in my lungs making me feel sick and lightheaded, it can hurt sometimes causing me to cry because of it.

My sister said I might have asthma but I'm not sure because it could be I'm out of shape (mom said) I have maybe 20 pounds of fat and have never been diagnosed with asthma but constantly any little bit of cardio and it feels like my lungs are collapsed it takes like 10 minutes to recover ( i dont exercize regularly)

'when you normally breathe, you breathe through yours nose' – uh, is that meant to be the case? cos i don't. i can't get much air through my nose so everything i do is through the mouth.

One short bicycle ride and I feel like I have to breathe really high and deep and like no matter what I do, it feels like I can't get oxygen and like I will vomit. It reminds me of when I had adrenal crisis, it feels like a deep fatigue. I get so drowsy. Then when I get home, I immediately feel better. Do I need to see a doctor?

  21. @skandhaprasath2767

    December 29, 2023 at 9:00 am

**My tip is workout indoors and close any big outside air draft into your room**
I started getting this at 23 when i moved from India to Sweden and joined cycle club here. I also do skating outside. And I figured out that I dont get that when i workout indoors and the windows are closed. If i get on my cycle trainer at home with windows open, the constriction starts slowly and the longer and harder i push, the worse it gets.

Another thing is the airflow, i used to have the fan right i front of me böowing air into my face qhile I'm on my cycling trainer, and now I shifted the fan to my side about 3 meters away. It made a night and day difference. Doing these i completely eliminated my asthma symtoms, but I have not trained outdoors again. I should try.

    December 29, 2023 at 9:00 am

As someone who likes to stay active this sucks😢. I guess my mom forgot to mentioned that I suffered from this when I went to college 20, 21 and decided to try out for the cross country team and I almost passed out and couldn't control my breathing. One of the coaches did mentioned if I had asthma but i said no, because I did not known back then until it resurfaced in my 20's. I'm 33 now and I've been sorta of sedentary for like 5 years and gained some weight, that makes it 20x harder because I would start working out and give up. I wanted to try jumping rope today and it was bad😢. I aslo think that Covid Pneumonia messed me up more. I will start little by little again and hope I can gain some indurance to loose the weight and be more active without having any breathing episodes.

I've had excess phlegm all my life. Never knew that Asthma could cause that. Last winter I developed constant wheezing attacks that wouldn't go away for hours. Eventually I wasn't allowed to clean anything at my workplace until I got it sorted out because I'd have to sit down it got so bad. Mornings were always terrible too I'd cough and cough for over an hour to get out phlegm. With daily medicine AND using my rescue inhaler before exercise I can run and quite well. I've always wanted to run without bronchoconstriction, now I can confortably if I'm cautious. : )

    December 29, 2023 at 9:00 am

I only get exercise induced bronchoconstriction when it's cold outside and I do full on sprints (like 6 minute mile pace). End up coughing for like 20+ mins after the exercise even if it was only for a couple of minutes.
If I just jog (8-10 minute per mile) I don't have any real issue even if it's cold out.
