‘ERODING our democracy’: Morning Joe reacts to SHOCKING NYT Editorial on Trump’s election meddling
The New York Times editorial board is out with a new series tracking 12 categories of democratic erosion in the United States, highlighting the “worrisome steps” it says President Trump has taken toward undermining American democracy. Measuring on a scale from zero to 10 — with zero representing a strong, though imperfect, democracy and 10 representing a true autocracy — the board has moved one category, “manipulating the law to stay in power,” up to Level 3. The Morning Joe panel breaks down the ominous warnings from the piece as the country heads toward the November midterms and the 2028 election.

Parents are giving up green card fights to get their kids out of immigrant jail: Marshall Project
In 2013, Ana Kikabidze was selected to receive a U.S. green card. When unforeseen circumstances hit she had to move back to her home country. When she came back to the U.S. in May with her children, the family was arrested and sent to the controversial detention center in Dilley, Texas. How many guns do you need to protect your family? It should be lawful only allow 2 handguns and one hunting rifle for each person who is of 18 years of age in the household. Teachers should not be allowed to have guns at the school because what if one of them decides to shoot the children and themselves in front of the kids. Remember the police department also has a history of shooting children. Arming more people is not the solution to gun violence.

It's funny how these 'law makers' are never the ones who will have to enforce their tyrannical over reach laws, going door to door having to pry these firearms from the cold dead hands of patriots, who would be doing nothing but defending themselves from the tyrannical government, (which is what the second amendment is for.)
So I say again to these leftist law makers, and those who sugguest and support their laws: If you want them, come and take them yourselves.

I’m a 62 year old from Canada ( Montreal). Hearing this man speak gives me so much hope he is positive and intellectual in an era where both sorely lacking. He is reminiscent of the people we looked up to in the 1960s. People who were sincere and honest people who made you feel positive and upbeat about change. Not the awful name calling mud slinging actors that call themselves politicians these days. You know there is actually a career called politics and it ‘ should ‘ be done by people with integrity humility honesty and strength of conviction and and diplomacy and mostly representing the people who need you. Let’s hope this is indeed a sign of things to come. We need young people getting involved and taking the reins.

This powerful king of a man cut through the status quo like a bolt of lightening.
I, for one, feel electrified and inspired. The sword of truth cuts through the BS and he, along with Justin Jones has inspired a NATION and the WORLD. They are the right men at the right time. MLK must be looking on with pride at these great men. How can the status quo remain after this groundbreaking moment in history?
