I'm not sure I'd agree that they "did nothing". They illustrated quite definitively that the MAGA crowd just can't do anything but make outraged speeches on social media. Indeed they seem to believe that's their entire job – to make inflammatory, insulting, misleading, outraged speeches for social media.

i'm just like, the base of the Republican Party is rabid and this country was intended by the framers to require broad consensus for congress or political powers to achieve anything due to the checks and balances of the system but has birthed a political movement in this country that is an insurgent outlier that is utterly contemptuous of compromise, mann and orstein's analysis in it's even worse than it looks is apt and on the money, anyone naive enough to be frustrated congress cannot put aside it's differences and work together ought to know the blame for that lies entirely and exclusively on the republicans whom are admittedly stuck between a rock and a hard place as their rabid base feels compromising with the democrats is tantamount to treason. I realize Scarborough is a former republican, but I mean the kind of republican he is, is now politically homeless as the Republican party he represents no longer even exist to be dead in the first place.
