Some teachers are truly awful. But in my experience, most of them work a lot harder than they're paid for, because they really care about the kids. It's disgusting how people on the right make their jobs even harder, because of their bizarre fantasies that school is all lessons on how to do drag, hate white people, and poop in a litter box. A country that doesn't pay teachers well is a country that does not want a good economy.
