This commentator won't even call the victims and people of Gaza Palestinians which is what they are. More pro-Israeli propaganda from this network. It dehumanizes the thousands of women, children and others slaughtered by the IDF.

All it takes is for complacent people to sit on their rumps and not vote to keep him out of office. MAGAs will come out in force to intimidate, harass and threaten voters and will cheat at the ballot box to force the election to tRump. We must be vigilant. We cannot take anything for granted.

Get your forces out of other peoples countries..Stop fighting among yourselves, and start looking after the needs of Americans!! The world is tired of America's hypocracy, its killing sprees all over the world. It's support of Israel & refusal to follow International law..It's constant lies & propaganda by the government controlled mainstream media..And right now it's complicity in arming Israel in the genocide of Palestinians both Muslim & Christians in Gaza & the West Bank..It's time Americans start to wake up & educate themselves instead of being ignorant both historically, geographically & spiritually. They have on mass been brainwashed sadly…

Any American taxpayer following your coverage has been misled,GAZA WITH 2 MILLION PEOPLE IS SURROUNDED BY A PRISON WALL 25 FEET HIGH, 25 FEET UNDERGROUND WITH MOTION, DETECTING MACHINE GUNS BY THE HUNDREDS AND SECONDARY FENCING IT’S A PRISON IT’S NOT A BORDER THEY DON’T ALLOW CHOCOLATE OR SCOUT PAPER

  9. @marcusduckworth

    December 30, 2023 at 3:18 am

Netanyahu Office authorized and gave Middle Eastern money in the hundreds of millions of dollars in suitcases to Hamas directly American taxpayers, deserve to know this, it’s not anti-Semitic… 90% plus demonstrations are for Palestinian rights not HAMAS you don’t report it that way.

  10. @marcusduckworth

    December 30, 2023 at 3:18 am

All news organizations saying that we must support Israel is clearly not their mandate, journalism allows both sides to be presented to the taxpayers that are fitting the bill for this, and let them decide. STOP BEING SO ONE-SIDED THAT’S NOT JOURNALISM..

  11. @marcusduckworth

    December 30, 2023 at 3:18 am

NBC has a journalistic responsibility to American taxpayers to report not only Israel’s side, Prime Minister’s office and the IDF SHOULD NOT BE RELIED ON COMPLETELY…. IT IS NOT ANTI-SEMITIC TO ASK WHY AIPAC HAS AN IRON GRIP ON THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, AND THE SENATE ,,,,,, infrastructure Israel suffered little the Rockets have done virtually no damage 23 people in 10 years and we have to give $14.9 billion to Israel. You asked that.

    December 30, 2023 at 3:18 am

That year in review of Biden was ridiculous. He's performing better than I ever thought any democratic could have done and that is what the media has to say? Pretty depressing on those polls because it may mean it doesn't matter what he does because the public cannot appreciate actual real positive impacts and only believes propaganda.

  23. @ktsondru108

Twas nice to hear Joy Reid actually refer to the Planter Class and Elie Mystal mentioned white supremacy & patriarchy. Tis nice to see the talking heads on the supposedly liberal bastion of news that their rhetoric has finally made it to 1988.

Listen to me, people! The Supreme Court of the United States of America is responsible for every single thing that is happening in the USA that is bad. Not the criminal mob boss Donald J. Trump. The Supreme Court is. You see, if the Supreme Court was not so corrupt and failed to execute its duty honestly and fairly everyone else would fall in line including Trump and his supporters!

  34. @Tree3Conway

    December 30, 2023 at 3:18 am

MSNBC You're holding Biden to very high standards while you talk everyday about how Trump is gaining in esteem.. If you feed your viewers garbage for news and convince people that Maga are an equally reasonable choice then don't be surprised with your own downfall when democracy dies in the darkness. Shameon your incompetence!

  35. @marthamartha3222

    December 30, 2023 at 3:18 am

Why these Republicans have to bring Hilary when asked how incompetent trump is and point out trumps lies. We should know by now that trump knows very well he lost and biden is our president but trump is a coward a disgrace human being.

  36. @kathymcgowen6287

    December 30, 2023 at 3:18 am

I am really disappointed in Michigan to think that they stoop that low to keep Trump on the ballot when he tried to overturn the state of Michigan I'm really disappointed I thought the supreme Court had more consideration for the people that were voting for who they wanted to and then for all this to go on know I'm disappointed in Michigan and I have been a long time resident and I really want to fill my freedom and not have to walk around

Nicolle and Aaron Sorkin: This is Trump’s ‘ultimate mind f***’

Published

on

By

Aaron Sorkin wasn’t planning to make another movie about Facebook — until he met a whistleblower whose story he felt compelled to tell. In an expansive conversation with Nicolle Wallace, the Oscar- and Emmy-winning writer and director discusses his new film, The Social Reckoning, and the extraordinary power Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook wield over nearly 3 billion people — and the costly decisions that have shaped the platform’s impact on our lives, our politics and our democracy.
A follow-up to 2010’s The Social Network, Sorkin’s new film examines Facebook in the age of Trump, telling the story of whistleblower Frances Haugen’s decision to expose internal documents detailing misinformation and potential harms, while exploring an older Zuckerberg confronting the consequences of the technology he created. Sorkin explains why he chose to release the film ahead of the midterm elections and why he believes there is still room for optimism — if we are willing to act.

Wallace and Sorkin explore Zuckerberg’s immense influence, the decisions surrounding Facebook on January 6, the people inside the company who knew what was happening and remained silent, and why Wallace sees Zuckerberg as “bubble wrapped from reality.” They discuss the complicated empathy the film invites audiences to feel for Zuckerberg — and how that empathy can coexist with accountability for decisions that affect billions. Sorkin also shares the story of Zuckerberg’s former consigliere and their falling out, his reaction to Jeremy Strong’s portrayal of Zuckerberg (whom Sorkin calls “the best American actor under 50 years old”), and Facebook’s efforts to obtain the film’s script before its release. He reveals how the filmmakers prepared for potential legal challenges, including the threat of a lawsuit.

The conversation also examines Trump’s relationship with Zuckerberg, the former president’s attacks on the media despite his apparent appetite for attention from credible news organizations, and the essential role investigative journalism plays in holding powerful people and institutions accountable. Wallace and Sorkin discuss why Congress and the law continue to lag behind rapidly advancing technology, the consequences of leaving that power unchecked, and why the stakes for democracy could hardly be higher.

And in a moment that connects Sorkin’s celebrated work across generations, the conversation turns to A Few Good Men, Hegseth’s “illegal order” and the enduring importance of questioning authority. Wallace, who was inspired by Allison Janney’s portrayal of White House Press Secretary C.J. Cregg on The West Wing to imagine a future for herself in the White House, joins Sorkin in reflecting on the responsibilities of the press, the dangers of unchecked power and the choices that define our political moment.

From Facebook’s influence over billions of lives to Trump, whistleblowers, investigative journalism and the future of American democracy, Sorkin’s message is clear: We need to take democracy more seriously.
