Employers could pay a living wage, so that employees can concentrate on a productive workday, not worried about how to stretch a check to cover obligations .

Democrats need a wake up call too! Retired in NYC, it's too dangerous and expensive to go outside. MSNBC just ignores this. BTW, crime and inflation hurt black and brown people the most!

How quickly people forget that when Trump took office, inflation was on a steady rise, especially after Trump's failed trade grift. Economists all predicted that inflation would continue to rise. The only thing that stopped that was a global pandemic that shut down the world economy.

    Inflation rates by year
    2015 – 0.12%
    2016 – 1.26%
    2017 – 2.13%
    2018- 2.44%
    2019 – 1.88%
    2020 -1.23%
    2021- 4.70%

In 2019 Trump got Big Oil to cut production by 9.7 million barrels a day. He threatened to cut off military aid if they did not cut production. This had an inflammatory response when the global economy began to open back up, because it created a manufactured supply chain crisis. Also in 2019 Big Oil spent $14.3 million in campaign contributions and lobbying with 80% of that going to Trump and other Republicans. What did Big Oil get for their money?

It would not matter who is president right now, inflation would still be where it is. Republicans won't, can't, and have never fixed anything. They only exacerbate the wealth inequality, by giving huge tax breaks to their rich buddies, and taking this country backwards, by taking away rights and endless culture wars.

Vote against all Neo-Fascist Trump humpers.

53% of inflation is going to corporate profits not the government and to those blaming Biden and the government for inflation bring the receipts… We are a free capitalist nation, corporations and businesses make their own prices not controlled by our government and government spending uses our tax dollars and does not affect the price of gas since oil companies are privately owned. We the people need to call out every republican on this issue as liars because they are and we need to acknowledge the corporate greed who all love republican tax breaks for them but do nothing to help we the people.

I gotta agree that the worst thing that can be done in this super-charged 'hate-thy-neighbour' election(s) is announcing the vote count early. Wait until all voting has ceased; wait until all counting is done (including early and mail-in ballot); then, have a unified body announce the legal, binding results. This might take a few days or even weeks, but the results will not be haphazard and falsely branded as illegitimate. 🤷‍♀️

How can anyone expect the Fed to reduce inflation? They have been the primary cause of inflation and devaluating the dollar since it was founded in 1913. Now, they are being asked to fix the mess they created?

Let's be honest, okay? Inflation is primarily due to big Oil, big Agra, big Pharma and every other big corporation looking to make as much money on the backs of the average American taxpayer and no one on any level is willing to stand up to them and hold them accountable for it. Don't think Republicans in power can fix that. They will cut taxes for the wealthy again, just like they did in 2017.

Tax the filthy (sic) rich. That will bring millions if not billions into the economy to spread out to the needs if the IRS also lessen the taxes on the middle class and the poor. Those forgiven higher education debt will have the money to purchase goods.

The inflation we are seeing now is a result of profiteering by big corporations taking advantage of less than normal stock in the supply chain! It is WORLDWIDE and is not going to be helped by the Federal Reserve raising interest rates! That is just more profiteering!
