Watched the show with former TX Rep. Will Hurd. Gotta hand it to you Steph you held his feet to the fire concerning his incorrect remarks on inflation. You are a shinning example of what good journalism is about. Thank you for not letting your guests get away with spreading falsehoods.

Happiness = inner peace + contentment; we get there by practicing meditation and turning mind inwardly as opposed to being outwardly focused to protect and enhance our fixation on self. There are many who need to go to their room for a time out. Pascal, the French poet said the problem with our human species is our inability to sit in our room alone. Our human mind has amazing possibility; we need to learn how to access our own true nature and release this energetic force for the benefit of all sentient beings. Spiritual practice is all about awakening our human capability which is available to every single one of us no matter how offensive to society a person may be. Those who are against awakening only want power for themselves. When people feel empowered, supported and are given a leg up to progress and grow, just stand aside and witness the positive actions that result. senator Chris Murphy is absolutely correct, what is needed is a spiritual renaissance. What the world needs now is love. And, this is not some air fairy notion; the most successful societies throughout human history were all based in spiritual awakening which is based in genuine and authentic bringing benefit for others and not selfish concerns.

No facts guys! What does it mean AI is becoming more intelligent than us? What are its capabilities and intentions? How, theoretically, would AI a) take control of human civilization and b) decide to destroy it. Is AI conscious? Is AI conscious and developing an identity of its own? Does AI have the capacity to formulate its own objectives and then execute a plan toward accomplishing them? Is AI functionalizing its own programs without human inputs? Really, I don't have the slightest idea of what you people are talking about.

I think Senator Murphy is missing the main point. When a party uses psychological indoctrination to tell lies, half-truths and exaggerations, there can be no discussion, debate or discourse. If they really want to stop this polarization, they need to pass a truth in publishing act. If you cite a source, then it had better be able to back the information put out. No more lies and hyperbole.

The problem is that even if the Republicans says they agree with Democrats on what American's "spirtually" want, they'll never agree how to get there. Of course they're not going to disagree because it would play bad with their base, but then they're going to say things like, "Those that have, have it because they worked hard to get there; those that have not just need to pull themselves up by the bootstraps. Government policy isn't the way to do it!"

Is it any wonder that so many people have intractable beliefs on religion when topical posts like this have phrases such as ' from your lips, to God's ears'. Sad that so much of the secular society has been permeated with such drivel.

  43. @ross6343

About AL…America should adopt the EU model for AI regulation as…a…start and then bring that 'model' current to address today's developments. If America had adopted the EU model regulating end user data privacy back 15 years ago…well, for example, Meta [Facebook and Zuckerf**k] was recently fined 1.3 BILLION by the EU for violating it's end user data privacy rules [please note it wasn't Tik Tok that got fined]. If America had such data collection and use rules when the EU implemented such rules, who knows…maybe 2016 would've had a different outcome.

Jimmy Carter passed legislation to reduce carbon emissions. It was one of the things Reagan did away with. Carter also offered paid college tuition, so that disadvantaged youth living below the poverty line could get associate degrees. BAM! Gone with the pen.

The racist white republicans would get even crazier than they already are now? But hey…the entire world knows how sad americas state is now.

I wonder. What did that man think while he was doing that. Wasn't he in enough trouble already? Why would he want even more trouble? Was he thinking at all? (spoiler: probably not). And of course, what did he gain from this all? It's mystifying….

If at First You DON’T (Constitutionally) SUCCEED, Try TRY AGAIN

Published

on

By

According to Mary and Andrew, recent moves by President Trump’s administration have been following a pattern: “If at first you don’t succeed, try try again.” The co-hosts begin by breaking down the flurry of news surrounding mail voting, starting with Monday afternoon’s decision by the Supreme Court to allow President Trump’s executive order curtailing mail voting to proceed, though not issuing a decision on the merits of the order. They discuss that decision in conjunction with the Postal Service’s announcement on Friday for a final rule that would comply with the executive order, a move that Andrew calls a proxy for the government to “have the Postal Service act in a way that has a clearly disproportionate impact on certain voters.”

Then, a conversation about birthright citizenship after a motion was filed yesterday rejecting Trump’s executive orders that attempt to limit the legal principle. Plus, an analysis of the Second and Ninth Circuit Court’s rulings disqualifying U.S. Attorneys that were improperly appointed by Trump and a quick nod to Minnesota suing the governor of Texas for not extraditing an ICE agent accused of shooting a man in Minneapolis.

Tune in next week as we switch to Wednesday morning releases — and video editions of Main Justice available on YouTube.

Claire McCaskill joins #MorningJoe following the debut of the Harris-Walz campaign at Tuesday’s rally in Philadelphia. McCaskill contrasts Walz with JD Vance, stating, “Walz is mac and cheese and a trip to the hardware store. Walz is exactly what JD Vance is pretending to be. He is of the heartland. He is not coastal elite.”
McCaskill predicts a “mic drop moment” in debates, especially on issues like IVF, where Vance voted against protections that helped Walz and his wife have their child Hope.
