This is a joke. AA is not even competent with their core business of getting a passenger from point A to point B on time with their luggage let alone taking on the challenge of meal service. This is nothing more than LSG putting the AA logo on their trucks and delivering the same old garbage.

………QANTAS built a six-storey Catering Facility at its’ Jet Base, in SYD, in the early ‘80’s. To see six HUGE cauldrons’ full of beef, & chicken stock was fascinating. Bread loaves’ floor to ceiling in a very large freezer. Dessert’s being assembled on a production line. One floor for inwards dirty cutlery, dishes’, & glasses’. One floor for outwards of same, onto galley pallets’ for the departing jets’. All fabulous to learn about………

All these is just free advertising for all american airlines. The truth is most passengers flying on board these airlines still complain about how bad american airline foods are.

The worst airline food on American from LAX to LHR in August! The crew response, “ I don’t know!”

This is 100% fake for the cameras. American Airlines took is absolute trash! Filled with chemicals! It's like McDonald's if not worse! I took one bite of food from this Airline and was on the toilet filled with gas!!

No thank you to airplane food. I buy my own food and snacks before my flight.

While I would love to spend $$$ on larger, more comfortable seats, I would definitely spend money on food on a flight of 4 hrs or more.

    January 8, 2024 at 2:48 am

I wish airlines would stop serving meals. They’re never good and they prob drive up the cost of the ticket so much. Somehow airplane food tastes WORSE than frozen meals. I’d rather choose to bring my own food that I buy in the airport, which I already do.

I asked an AA flight attendant what she recommended on a flight from Philly to Zurich. She said "Eating at the airport"

I’m a flight attendant for American Airlines and I can tell you with 100% CERTAINTY… the food does NOT look like this when you fly with us lmao.

When I was a sales rep for a safety equipment company in Northern California I was invited to tour the LSG Skychefs facility at SFO (I believe around 2015-2016) and meet with their management in preparation for submitting a bid for their business. During the meeting with the operations manager I caught the tail end of a conversation with him and the purchasing agent from Virgin America Airlines (now part of Alaska Airlines), and I clearly the conversation they had when he told the LSG manager that if they removed just 3 grapes from their $9 fruit and cheese tray, that the airline would increase the profit from the sales of that one item aboard to something like $160K annually. The margins on those meals are super high, but a lot of those "Airline" kitchens have now pivoted to serve as commissaries for convenience stores where food can be prepped and shipped to local stores to sell items like sandwiches and salads cold to customers or to be heated up in appliances in the store to sell hot food items like pizza, chicken, wings, and eggrolls.

Airline food vs hospital food. They both taste like turd

  25. @kevinb2469

@0:36 no, it’s American air carrier food that’s known for being bad.

  26. @PhilLin

    January 8, 2024 at 2:48 am

"It really doesn't matter what you serve, the number one outlier that is important to our customers is running an on-time operation"
    Seems kinda off-topic for a food video…

  27. @pilgrum23

And still tast like last weeks leftover

  28. @raymondlin8728

I rarely think about food when flying. Too nervous

  29. @grimm1369

    January 8, 2024 at 2:48 am

Cost costs? most flights in the U.S. do not serve food. You are lucky if you get a small bag of pretzels.

Glad that I ate in the Charlotte airport before my flight to Munich on American. The chicken barely looked like chicken and had no taste. When the government allows most airlines to merge, don't expect competition to force better options from domestic airlines.

  36. @Cassie4486

    January 8, 2024 at 2:48 am

I don't see why they can't offer the passengers in economy seats to be able to purchase a meal instead of snacks.

  37. @danieldelacruz7305

    January 8, 2024 at 2:48 am

If I was in charge of purchasing I’ll feed customers eggs and potatoes to all them. Is the cheapest meals to give them.

China’s Swagger After India’s iPhone 18 Leak

Published

By

A leak by Indian supplier Tata Electronics, purportedly of the yet-to-be-released iPhone 18 Pro models, has become marketing gold for the Chinese government. The Communist Party paper, The Global Times, is using the leak – caused by a cyberattack – as a cautionary tale for Apple and other companies that are in the process of diversifying their supply chains away from China. CNBC’s Eunice Yoon reports.

00:58 Correction: The location tag should be Beijing, China.

Why There’s An ‘Extremely Fierce’ Battle For TSMC’s Limited Chip Manufacturing Capacity

Published

on

By

Unstoppable demand for AI is leading to a capacity crunch on factory lines at the world’s leading chip manufacturer, Taiwan Semiconductor. And it could put a chokehold on AI’s ability to scale. Analysts tell CNBC that Nvidia, Apple, Broadcom, AMD and others are locked in an “extremely fierce” competition to get their GPUs, CPUs and custom AI chips made at TSMC. Capacity can’t come online fast enough, despite TSMC’s rush to build new fabs in Taiwan, Japan and Arizona, where has expanded investment to $265 billion. The strain has made one man at TSMC “the most popular person on the planet,” as chip start-ups and big name CEOs visit Taiwan to ask him for wafer allocation. It’s also created a rich opportunity for Intel, as customers look to the long-struggling foundry arm of the U.S. chip manufacturer for a second source.
