   All I want to see is the DOJ finishing the job on the Jan. 9 Insurrection by indicting Trump for engaging in aiding, abetting & giving comfort to the rioters before, during & after the attack on the U.S. Capitol. It's a slam dunk case & disqualifies him for holding office.

    He has no threat of them snitching because to do it they have to go through their attorney on record who are trump paid, so trump would know before they got out of the office, come on common sense, why does he pay their attorneys, to control it all.

    Sadly we all all know Rump will never see prison. There is no process for a former president who has a secret service detail to be incarcerated for a crime. Until he came along no one would have ever thought it possible. So how does he go? With his detail? We need a law that first off says any and all POTENTIAL candidates must be able to pass. Security clearance check BEFORE they can run. And the another one that says if you are indicted you lose all govt benefits including protective details.

    There has been plenty of reporting that Trump was showing this document off at a meeting with people who were working on a Meadows memoir but I don't recall hearing any reports stating who was in the room. Did MSNBC reporters even pose the question? I don't recall hearing any accounts of efforts by MSNBC reporters to determine who these people were or what they saw. No publisher has been identified for comment. Has there been any word from Meadows or even reporting that MSNBC attempted to reach him for comment? Did I just not see these reports? Has Meadows vanished completely? There does appear to be to be a Meadows size hole in the reporting. Why might that be? Perhaps I am just watching the wrong news outlets.

    If the recording has been identified as evidence in the indictment Smith's office must know its origin and therefore it seems likely they have a cooperating witness who was in the room. The existence of such a witness might qualify as analysis that could, just maybe, pass enough journalistic muster to be included in the reporting. Have Ari or Lawrence posed any such theory? Was it inferred? As thin as that is, it would be much more substantial than any justification for the rampant speculation we heard with regard to what Trump may have been holding while making his damning comments. Again, maybe I am just watching the wrong news outlets.

    My fear, and perhaps I am alone on this, is that the DOJ will develop such a strong case that Trump will ask for and receive, a deal that will keep Trump out of jail while his enablers (mainly Moscow Mitch) and his co-conspirators (too many to name) will be incarcerated.

    Trump has brought us to this Rubicon and we must now cross it. For the sake of the Union, for America's place in the World, for the rule of law, democracy and to prove the strength of our constitution, Trump must be sent to prison.

    As with Oppenheimer and using the atomic bomb against the people of Japan, the message must be loud and clear; Fascism in America must never be allowed to get this far again.

    Trump cannot be found guilty of illegally possessing any classified material. In Navy v. Egan, 484 U.S. 518 (1988), the Supreme Court stated that the President has plenary power over document classification and other national security issues:
