This is how you had SVB. The IRS doesn’t audit cartel money. The Treasury is protecting drug cartel banks. You take out the cartels you have bank failures. It's the Pandora Papers and 932 Billion shaking the banks. TRUMP KNOWS and calls a war on cartels.

Just like last time, these bank's behavior should have been regulated before they broke something, not after. But once they break the system. the wrong people are bailed out to save the system and everyone screams. But we are unable to regulate their behavior before the fact because interested parties stop the regulation. Rince and repeat.
Anyone unhappy with bailing out people who should not be bailed out should reconsider their attitute toward financial regulation or just shut up.

GREED is the problem. It will never change. The de-regulation of banking and the financial markets was the final nail in the proverbial coffin. Go back to 1929, crash of the stock market and the Great Depression, all tied to un-regulated financial systems. Cheers.

    January 10, 2024 at 10:12 am

This is worse than the 2008 crisis because of the inflation, The rate raise caused this, right now whatever the Fed does will be a problem. Inflation is here to stay for a long long time.

I like the big old fat owl buzzard you know he wants you to believe there's no other option but for the FED to Pivot but it is a sad that way he tries to say that the Fed was wrong that they did everything wrong but in reality his only mission is to see it fed pivot he doesn't see that the alternative is going to be continued super high inflation If the Fed doesn't conquer inflation instead of proposing new ideas in that regard he proclaims the FED has to be the one that changes but what about the lack of moral hazard and mismanagement of their loan portfolios everybody wants to buy to an old grey-haired Buzzard that spews a little history when in reality if you have some history that understand what's going on you see what his game is shame on you old buzzard you do put a dress and lipstick and do anything for a martini

Very good program, I watched SVB for six hours 3.12 yesterday. This program would be improved if the conversation hadn't veered into the political arena meaning Republican vs democrats which was very confusing to me as a Republican. Tom Keene don't confuse the issue no room for politics in this discussion.
