Texas Shooting Exposes ‘Big Lie’ From Fox News To Ted Cruz

Published

on

After 19 children and two teachers were killed at a elementary school in a mass shooting, Republicans are pushing the false narrative that “the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.” MSNBC’s Ari Melber fact-checks the GOP’s claims, citing a study that reveals armed guards at schools “do not prevent school shootings or gun-related incidents.”

Ban lobby groups that haunt politicians in the corrupt USA. When politicians don't benefit financially they would soon stop firearms.

Name one other country that tries so hard to get rid of a gun that 90 percent don't know nothing about. CNN,MSN,ABC, all these media outlets spit all these ridiculous lies about a rifle. They stupidly don't know is a 22.

Why is it all the other countries in the world you don't hear about school shootings or mass shootings? It's simple the teachers for one are armed themselves. Teachers in other countries are trained to use a firearm just in case a situation ever does happen.

It's not guns it's men's hearts and Jesus is the answer only few find to cure the sickness in our hearts. 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

As a liberal myself. I hope Texas does secede from the USA. Take away Texas' electoral votes and congress-persons, then Cali and NY will be selecting the US president for the next 1000 years!!! Texas is also a free loading state, meaning they receive more federal money then they pay in taxes, so goodbye to all those lazy free loading redneck Texans!

God bless Ted Cruz. At least in Educated Europe we acknowledge him for what he is… a representative of the Stupid, by the Stupid, for the Stupid.
And just how hard is it to swallow his phoney sympathies and blatant brown-nosing cowering unto the NRA?
And we thought TrollAnd Dump was a moron. If the Modern GOP has its way, we may, one day, see THIS ignorant, self-serving and cowardly balloon-head in the W.H.. An intellectual and moral embarrassment to his European ancestors… a creature who is more than happy to lie with every breath in his body to advance his career at the cost of American citizens.
Here in Educated Europe it amazes us that we can see this more clearly than many can in the States. It must be something in the water there? Or the fact that we are capable of acquiring our information from more than one newspaper?
    YeeeHaaa UnterMerica!

Here's an idea: why don't we make all lawmakers that have a registered weapon be an arm guard for a public school and be the "good guy with a gun" without secret service as their protection for at least once a month. Since they are public servants they will be serving the community which elect them on the first place.

How many AR15 rifles sold in American each year.? You have no chance when bullets are flying at you that fast. Give everyone in congress a chance to shoot an AR 15 and have them shoot at a target

What about an armed guard at every church, every synagogue, every grocery store, every hair salon, every outdoor music festival (you know, so they can shoot the dude spraying hundreds of bullets out of a hotel window on the 30th floor), every public park, every beach, every computer software company office, inside every home of every supreme court justice, senator, congressperson, cabinet minister, every public swimming pool, skating rink, basketball court, tennis court, and about a million other places where people get shot in America?

    .

  32. @shawn25304

    January 10, 2024 at 4:53 pm

well I mean EVERY bullet fired goes EXACTLY where it is supposed to

more guns in schools in situations like this means more rounds flying around

    which increases "collateral damage"

    which calculates to more victims

  33. @jmendigo1020

    January 10, 2024 at 4:53 pm

The safest way to have safety guns anywhere is removing all coward Republicans from power anywhere in government!

  34. @hardtruth4459

    January 10, 2024 at 4:53 pm

More armed security guards at schools? What about grocery stores, shopping malls, churches, hospitals, universities, concerts, any public event inside or outside? When does it all end? What about shrapnel and crossfire, when these places are turned into a dirty harry movie? The new proposals set out by Congress are rational and fair to both gun owners and the general public. We need to stop listening to absolutists, who stockpile 1000's of rounds of ammo, assault rifles, carbines, semiautomatic shotguns, and high capacity magazines, just waiting for red dawn to happen.

  35. @colespencer6908

    January 10, 2024 at 4:53 pm

What does a good guy with a gun change if he doesn’t react ?
The same as Texan Police !
    NOTHING

  38. @aoilpe

    January 10, 2024 at 4:53 pm

“The honorable experiment” lasted 13 years (prohibition) why not trying with guns instead of alcohol ?

    21.Amendment to stop 1933 )

  39. @dpkny71

The EASIEST way to STOP gun violence.
All citizens, especially American Mothers become a SINGLE issue voter.

    Do NOT vote, if a politician (doesn't matter Republican or a Democrat) ;
    1. Takes money from the NRA.
    2. Gets rating from the NRA.
    3. Supports any kind of automatic weapons.

    Good luck.

‘ERODING our democracy’: Morning Joe reacts to SHOCKING NYT Editorial on Trump’s election meddling

Published

on

By

The New York Times editorial board is out with a new series tracking 12 categories of democratic erosion in the United States, highlighting the “worrisome steps” it says President Trump has taken toward undermining American democracy. Measuring on a scale from zero to 10 — with zero representing a strong, though imperfect, democracy and 10 representing a true autocracy — the board has moved one category, “manipulating the law to stay in power,” up to Level 3. The Morning Joe panel breaks down the ominous warnings from the piece as the country heads toward the November midterms and the 2028 election.
