In his first interview since Oscar Bergal was shot by plainclothes federal agents in New York City, Mayor Zohran Mamdani details his response to violence that he says “left New Yorkers in terror.” Bergal remains in ICE custody after a series of unsuccessful negotiations between the mayor, President Trump and DHS Secretary Mullin. “For the Secretary, none of this was an issue, none of the critiques and concerns you’re hearing from people across the city and across the country was an issue,” he said. ICE agents are “making a mockery of what law and order is supposed to be.”

A federal judge indefinitely restored MS NOW, CNN, and POLITICO’s access to the White House after they were banned by President Donald Trump. The judge sided with the news organizations, writing that Trump’s ban likely violated both the First Amendment and the Fifth Amendment’s due process clause. The judge also rejected the administration’s national security justification, ruling in part that “Trump likely banned plaintiffs from the White House because he believes that their reporting is generally inaccurate and biased against him.” MS NOW legal affairs reporter Fallon Gallagher joined Way Too Early to discuss the ruling.

It may not change anything in the Senate's balance of power or operational majority for Dems at 51. But, it does change the electoral considerations come primary/election time and possibly splitting the vote on the left and handing the AZ senate seat to a Republican (she can run outside the Dem structure) . We noticed.

In this process we had only Pb of communication and the messages didn't reach the right mail box

Honestly, no matter which party switching like that may help, it shouldn't be allowed. People voted for the person to be for whatever party they campaigned for and it just doesn't seem fair to those voters.

Sinema doesn't want to run in the Democratic primary in 2024 because she knows she will lose. She also knows that she will lose if she switches to Republican. She's not crazy enough for that. This is not about policy or right and wrong, it's about getting re-elected.

One of the worst things that can happen to someone like Sinema is to be considered insignificant. She hoped for a big chaos, she hoped to be called a traitor. But she just doesn't matter enough to be worth any of that.

Any politician serves either the interest of the general population or the interests of the moneyed people, The Rich And Powerful People. Stepping over petty points where those interests are identical, these interests are in direct opposition.
In the extreme, the common people would prefer everything for free with laughably little ability to achieve that. Parallel to that, the Rich And Powerful People (Mostly White Men Of Means, the one percenters, and many of the ten percenters) want all of the income and wealth of our country only for themselves. Sadly, through Legalized Bribery at all levels of government, these Rich And Powerful People have all the means to control legislation and regulation to win their goals.
From the betrayal of the middle class by President Reagan's phony "Supply Side Economics" up to today these legal thieves have secured 2/3rds of the income and wealth of our county for themselves. They are nearing the overthrow of our Constitutional Republic and proudly taking the robes of Oligarchs and Aristocrats ruling over the impoverished Peasantry of our New Country.
Not forgetting that this is about Kyrsten Sinema. Through what we now know was empty humanist rhetoric, Kyrsten leveraged herself a Democrat seat in the Senate. from some need to be a cutie showgirl, she danced her way along impeding most legislation meant to benefit the common citizen. More frequently, her dancing partnered with the rich and famous of DC. She has spent most of her time as Senator skipping down the Gold-Bling paths that others Of Means have lined with glimmering dollar signs. These appear to have imprinted themselves on her eyes. BOO HOO. BOO HOO. BOOHOOHOO!

Regarding Sinema, the only thing that changes is that she could sell her votes to make money as I don't think she will win in 2024 as the Democrats will put up a good candidate against her. I don't think she will run and get a corporate job (wishful thinking).
