   Please consider requiring insurance for the ammunition and guns a person own. A single shot bolt action .22 with under 500 rounds would pay little where as a .50 with armor piercing rounds can do more damage and should require a larger insurance bill. I think the mandatory insurance of your weapons, like with cars, provide education for discounts. This gives the gun industry another income stream, a chance to address the total lack of safety education, a tighter community with safety , respect, built in. The answer is keep the guns, just be American and insure the use of the guns. If you keep your weapons locked in a safe with the firing pins in another safe and the ammunition locked in yet a third separate safe as I do you might receive a discount. Take the gun from my safe and it is a stick until you disassemble it replace the pin, retrieved from a different safe, reassemble the weapon and after that another safe is to be opened to retrieve the ammunition. My compound bow is more dangerous than my guns in my home.

    The hero-worship from democrats towards all these people who testified AFTER THE FACT is a bit worrying. Yes, they are doing the right thing now. I doubt they were doing the right things in the Trump admin…
    For that matter Cheney and Kinzinger get so much props as well for this committee despite voting in line with Trump policies for 4 years. Are they heroes now simply because they don't support an autocratic take-over of the US, AFTER it failed? Pretty low bar.

    Wait wait wait. It's on record that trump requested from Congress (Nancy Pelosi) for a strong national guard presence and more police presence for the event. They denied the request… So according to what this guy is say so slowly and clearly is that the responsibility should be squarely on the shoulders of those that denied that request. This sounds like partial truths mixed with a planned narrative. How about full truth and you stay away from trying to manipulate the people. News should be down the middle not a tool for agendas.
