Our Government could start by regulating Gun Show sales.
Gun enthusiasts love to scream it's their 2nd Amendment Right, but the 2nd Amendment clearly states "Well Regulated" does it not?
So why are there unregulated Gun shows all over the country?
Why it is perfectly legal for anyone to walk in, not have to show I.D. & purchase guns that they can then turn around & legally sell to someone in the parking lot?
I've witnessed that myself at multiple gun shows & the 1st thing I look for is a handicap tag or placard that would give some valid legal reason why the purchaser in the parking lot may not have wanted to enter the building to purchase that firearm themselves.
The only reason I can fathom is this purchaser in the parking lot is trying to avoid facial recognition by the better CCTV cameras inside the venue.

We already have background checks. What are comprehensive background checks? Adam Lanza, the shooter at Sandy Hook Elementary School, took his guns from his mother who passed background checks. Comprehensive background checks would not have saved a single life at Sandy Hook Elementary. Nearly all of the shooters over the past few decades passed a background check. When guns are purchased illegally, they don't go through a background check, let alone a comprehensive one. Common sense tells us if you propose a solution to a problem, it should actually solve the problem.
Assault weapons, as defined by legislation, are not military rifles. They are ranch rifles that look military. Banning assault weapons addresses style, not capability. You would be banning the weapons because you don't like the way they look.
