    Not taking the mans side here but i have seen and hearany time of police officers in a public space killing unarmed folks and using the i feared for my life ……ive also heard them say they accidentally took out and fired the gun instead of a teaser…..i guess the question is do you believe the person telling the story…..im not about people getting shot for making a mistake…..but i also dont believe in gun cleaning accidents and many people have gotten away with that half backed excuse over the years …..either way this is something that didn't need to happen…..and i definitely feel for the family of the victim in this case

    Too many people with guns are killing too many innocent people. If you have a gun in your hand and it is loaded and it is cocked and you have your finger on the trigger and it goes off and shoots someone not only are you as dumb as a rock you are guilty of shooting someone and maybe even killing them. Even if you didn't intend to. You still took a life and you should still pay the price.

    0:42–0:48 The lawyer blames the prosecution for not providing pictures where the shooter was standing when he "fell".
    If that's true, then it's the defense lawyer's responsibility to enter those pictures into evidence. Sounds like the defense either dropped the ball or tried to win a no-win case.

    This is some outdated 1800s “GiT oFF mAh LaNd!” mentality. He watched too many Westerns. There WERE laws back then in place that would allow one to protect their property with lethal force. These young adults were simply lost. They weren’t out looking to steal horses or cattle. 🤦🏻‍♂️

    He shot at them on purpose. I don't buy his story at all. I was an Infantry Marine who served in combat. I was a police officer for years. I've never once fired a weapon without intending to.

    For years, I lived in a small, beautiful home in Manitou Springs, CO, lots of land. Gorgeous home…gorgeous view. One day, I received a box in the mail. It was mis-delivered (dropped off at the wrong home). I hopped in my car and drove to the home, pulled up in front of his home. The person came out of the home, confused and I handed him the box and we both smiled. It terrifies me to realize to that this man would have killed me if I was bringing him his box.
