New battleground poll: Democrats are UP and voters want MAJOR CHANGES
New polling shows Democrat James Talarico leading Republican Ken Paxton in the closely watched Senate race in Texas. The same polling has Democratic gubernatorial nominee Gina Hinojosa leading three-term Republican incumbent Greg Abbott by 4 points. That comes as a new survey of the nation’s 37 most competitive congressional districts shows Democrats in a strong position to flip control of the House this November. The poll, conducted for The Cook Political Report, also finds voters in these districts are eager to see a new Congress do more than simply hold President Donald Trump to account, but also make fundamental changes to the political system. Amy Walter, publisher and editor-in-chief of The Cook Political Report, joins Morning Joe to break down the numbers.

18 days to midterms: Corruption now top voter concern, Musk spends big on Paxton | MS NOW Highlights
A new Fox News poll finds that government corruption is the top concern of American voters, which not only puts Donald Trump at a deep disadvantage, but also means the billionaires spending to keep Trump in power may see their participation backfire. Filings show Elon Musk dropped $168 million into Texas in a late-stage effort to boost Ken Paxton’s Senate race. Michael Steele discusses with Chuck Rocha, senior advisor to the Talarico Senate campaign, and Rob Flaherty, former assistant to President Biden. Plus, Morning Joe economic analyst Steve Rattner joins the show to give President Donald Trump a reality check on the state of inflation and rising prices. At a rally in Ohio earlier this week, Trump claimed prices are coming down, but Rattner explains why that’s not the case at all.
