President Donald Trump told CNBC Monday he “couldn’t care less” if peace negotiations between the U.S. and Iran collapse, calling them “boring.” More than three months after the start of the conflict, Morning Joe’s Jonathan Lemire says Trump’s boredom reflects how “desperate he is to move on” from the war, which continues to hurt him politically with no end in sight. Trump is “frustrated,” Lemire says, that he can’t get a deal, and he is also reportedly fearful of negotiating a deal seen as weak.
