Georges Hobeika: A Wardrobe of Light by F/W 26-27 | Paris Haute Couture Week

Published

on

Explore the full “The Visitor” collection by Georges Hobeika and step into the radiant world of Georges Hobeika Couture on FashionTV! Inspired by James McCrae’s poem ā€œInstructions Before Visiting Earthā€, father-and-son artistic directors Georges and Jad Hobeika unveil “The Visitor”, a couture collection that serves as a poetic invitation to experience the world with open eyes and an awakened heart.

Crafted entirely in the House’s Beirut and Paris ateliers, the wardrobe translates human existence into a landscape of light, bridging structured precision with ethereal grace.

The silhouette is architectural yet weightless, featuring flowing columns, sculpted bustiers, and tailored jackets that gracefully transition from day to evening. A dominant spectrum of blues, ranging from soft greyish hues and sky tones to deep ocean-black, is tempered by warm beiges, delicate pinks, and nuanced greens.

Signature embroidery techniques take on a liquid, iridescent quality with glassy beadwork, while intricate lace seamlessly intertwines with luxurious satin, silk, and organza.

Paying homage to the small wonders of the natural world, delicate silver and gold beetles, snails, and blooming orchids appear as sculptural jewelry and footwear accents, transforming fragments of nature into wearable art.

http://www.FashionTV.com/videos NEW YORK – Carlos Miele’s Fall/Winter 2012/13 collection showcased beautiful and intricate gaucha-inspired garments. However, backstage, the beauty was kept simple. We saw as newcomer Marina Nery and other fresh faces were made-up with lightweight foundation and shimmery powder in order to create a sun-kissed glow. The make-up artists’ aim was for the Miele girl to look like a woman who loves the summer and sun and can look sun-kissed even in the midst of a harsh winter. As for the hair, renowned stylist Rodney Cutler put it best: “Carlos Miele is all about the clothes, so the hair must be kept simple.” Cutler gave the girls a very natural do with a strong side part and brushed-out texture. The Miele girls, such as Cora Emmanuel all looked like Brazillian beauties when they were ready to walk down the runway.

Shinyakozuka: Feathers, Layers, and Soft Light for S/S 27 | Milan Men Fashion Week

Published

on

Immerse yourself in Shinya Kozuka’s impressionistic world – explore the complete spring/summer 2027 runway on FashionTV!

For his official runway debut on the Milan Men’s Fashion Week calendar, Japanese designer Shinya Kozuka presented Shinyakozuka S/S 2027, titled “Issue #10” or “watercolour path, watercolour path, watercolour path.”

The concept originated from an everyday moment when Kozuka dropped a contact lens, leaving his vision blurred. He realized the unique, serene beauty of navigating familiar surroundings through soft focus, converting that moment into a visual language for the collection. The lineup translates this impressionistic view through fluid pajama sets, relaxed Bermuda shorts, overshirts, and soft tailoring designed to mimic a gentle blur.

Translucent organza, paper-thin nylon, and sheer overlays lend garments an airy quality, complemented by a soft watercolor palette with painterly turquoise brushwork on pale ivory fabrics. Delicate sparrow embroideries, hand-painted duster coats, and crinkled textures add depth, while high-profile collaborations with Stephen Jones, Kijima Takayuki, Dickies, and Tsuchiya Kaban complete the elevated, poetic vision.

Robert Wun: Surrealist Innocence for F/W 26-27 | Paris Haute Couture Week

Published

on

Re-believe in the power of imagination – view the complete Robert Wun Couture F/W 26-27 show on FashionTV!

Drawing inspiration from Studio Ghibli visionary Hayao Miyazaki’s belief that creators must build a world for children to believe in a better future, Wun introduced “Childsplay” – a collection that embraces the un-serious to create with profound, uncompromising seriousness. The runway unfolded like a timeline of growing up.

Opening with pure white, blank-canvas silhouettes touched by naĆÆve, colorful paint-splash embroideries, the collection gradually gained form, shape, and narrative depth. Childhood archetypes and fairy-tale heroines were reinterpreted through Wun’s signature surrealist tailoring: a pleated blue velvet gown reminiscent of Snow White wrapped around the body with delicate birds perched on the shoulder; a Jack Skellington–inspired suit adorned with sparkling embroideries that mimicked both pinstripes and bones; and a soft, billowing tribute to Bambi’s mother complete with a horned headpiece and infant doll.

Every silhouette balanced imaginative wonder with intricate craftsmanship. Exaggerated origami-folded tailoring, bright wooden color-blocking, and a tweed jacket with rounded ears mirroring a giant teddy bear brought childhood toys to life. Unrealized personal ambitions were captured in transparent astronaut helmets and a pink tulle ballerina crowned with a music box figurine.

The emotional climax of the show arrived in the closing tailored looks, which were adorned with real, vibrant balloons jutting out from the garments – a striking, fragile nod to the joy and fleeting nature of youth. “Childsplay” served as a powerful reminder that the courage to imagine far outweighs the desire to consume.
