http://www.FashionTV.com/videos NEW YORK – From delicate lace to sexy detailing, designer, Tadashi Shoji clearly knows how to dress a woman for a special occasion in a new and innovative way. During his Spring/Summer 2013 show at New York Fashion Week, Shoji showcased stunning handcrafted pieces with intricate Venetian details, one right after another. The collection consists of conservative silhouettes and necklines that hugged the models’ bodies, displaying a woman’s perfect shape. Bold red, dark purple, nude and black were the trendier colors of the evening. Inspiration came from the designer’s travels from Venice to the Middle East and embroidered designs from different cultures around the world. Lace shorts and loose blouses were created for the ideal warm weather. Models walked down the runway in very relaxed girly silhouettes, elegant necklines, capped sleeves, ikat prints, weightless chiffon and intricate beading all representing classic Venetian architecture and modern fashion. Shoji’s collection will definitely be snapped up for the red carpet!

http://www.FTV.com/videos NEW YORK – Prabal Gurung grabbed the attention of guests like Anna Dello Russo and Andre Leon Talley from the Vogue empire, Joe Zee from Elle, rapper Nicki Minaj, and actress Amanda Seyfried by creating a unique purple, green, and black floral motif that was unlike anything the fashion set has ever seen at New York Fashion Week. For his Spring/Summer 2012 collection, Prabal was inspired by photographer Nobuyoshi Araki’s Sensual Flowers series. While unique and avant-garde, it also worked well for the celebrities, who will certainly be eyeing up the gowns towards the end of the show for upcoming red carpet events. While he certainly grabbed FTV’s attention with details, he also grabbed it with models. Just abou every popular model you can think of made an appearance in the show including an opening by Caroline Brasch Nielsen, and stellar showings from Americans Karlie Kloss, Arizona Muse, Hailey Clauson, and Jacquelyn Jablonski.
