Emergency responders took Sen. Mitch McConnell to an ambulance on a stretcher after being called to his home last month for a report of an unconscious person, according to new video of the incident and an eyewitness account.
A neighbor of McConnell told CNN that they opened their door to find commotion outside their home at around 8:30 a.m. on June 14, with two ambulances, a fire truck and Capitol Police officers blocking the entire street.
The neighbor said they learned from another eyewitness who saw the individualâs face that the person on the stretcher was McConnell and he was not wearing an oxygen mask.

Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky on Sunday announced, after weeks of speculation, that he had a fall last month that landed him in the hospital.
McConnell also provided a photo showing him smiling next to his wife, Elaine Chao. He appears to have a copy of Sundayâs Washington Post sports section on his lap.

It would be more impressive if it wasnt about gender. If this were simply the humble accounting of a commander…. bravo all the same but i really dont think anyone sees you and thinks you are less of a commander because youre a woman the fact you think people do makes you seem self contious and a bit weak minded.

Spent four years in the Aggie Corps of Cadets and then eight years in the US Army. Cadet Colonel of the Corps Michalke is obviously an extremely capable cadet and the military will be weaker for her not becoming an officer at graduation (the patch on her left shoulder means she does not hold a military contract for service). She appears far more qualified to lead cadets and soldiers than so many others I have seen. If I were with ISIS and saw her on a radio with a set of binoculars trained on me, I would be saying my prayers as something nasty, made of steel, is about to arrive on my grid coordinate.
