Sen. Murphy: Proposed Relief Bill ‘Could Get Us Through What Could Be A Very Hard And Deadly Winter’
Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) joins Andrea Mitchell to discuss the proposal of a $908 billion COVID relief bill by a bipartisan group of senators as 14 million Americans could lose unemployment aid by the end of December. Sen. Murphy says, “This amount of money could get us through what could be a very hard and deadly winter. This isn’t big enough to be able to get us to the point where the entire country is vaccinated. But it might be enough to make sure that millions of Americans don’t go hungry, don’t starve, don’t die out on the streets this winter when their jobless benefits expire and when protections for evictions expire.” Aired on 12/01/2020.

The New York Times editorial board is out with a new series tracking 12 categories of democratic erosion in the United States, highlighting the “worrisome steps” it says President Trump has taken toward undermining American democracy. Measuring on a scale from zero to 10 — with zero representing a strong, though imperfect, democracy and 10 representing a true autocracy — the board has moved one category, “manipulating the law to stay in power,” up to Level 3. The Morning Joe panel breaks down the ominous warnings from the piece as the country heads toward the November midterms and the 2028 election.

Parents are giving up green card fights to get their kids out of immigrant jail: Marshall Project
In 2013, Ana Kikabidze was selected to receive a U.S. green card. When unforeseen circumstances hit she had to move back to her home country. When she came back to the U.S. in May with her children, the family was arrested and sent to the controversial detention center in Dilley, Texas. They need to quit giving chickenshit Pence credit he only fulfilled his obligation after checking with this Constitutional judge otherwise he would have gone along with flumpy. And for sure he has some culpability in what happened on that dreadful day. If he was not partially involved, his responsibility was to inform the justice department of the plans ( I'm sure) he had knowledge of. And that is the reason that he's avoiding (or trying to) testifying.

Mr. Meachem makes a point about Pence being between us and the “abyss”, in the same breath he cautions us not to “turn the page quickly”. Perhaps Mr. Meachem appears to be turning the page quickly, as well while the interviewer misses an opportunity.
Did Mike Pence really stand “between us and the abyss” ? Pence is a politician and even from his most recent press coverage and book 📕 appears to be talking from both sides of his mouth. When convenient he is not a MAGA, then when it is convenient this Schrödinger VP is MAGA. When convenient he was the VP, then suddenly pivoted to more recent claims that his chameleon colors are truly Senatorial. What gives ?
