   No one in their "Right mind" would destroy the economy and possibly cause a world wide recession. But there is the rub: we are talking about over 200 people in Congress who are not in their "right mind". These are the ones who have always talked the big talk about being patriots yet showed after the 6th of January, 2021 just how unpatriotic they are. They are the MAGA lunatics.     Flat Rate Tax system, 20% for everyone above the poverty line, and not "retired"…done; people and corporations the same, middle class and rich the same…

    No more income trimming deductions. Like write off for anything, no more credits, no more depreciation, no more deductions, no more contributions, no more donations, no more expenses, etc, and no more long and complicated tax returns so less IRS needed…

    Local, State, and Federal Government split the pot…and x-amount goes to paying off debts quicker…to stop raising deficit/spending ceilings!!!

    If you over paid taxes, refund: if you didn't pay any income tax then don't expect a government check…

    Even, fair, cheaper to administer, predictable government revenue for balance budgeting..make it happen!!

    Businesses, un-retired Middle class, rich…all pay the same 20% of income/profits Taxes!!!

    And all you had to do, all along was put just put money in the hands of the non wealthy, ordinary 15k/yr person and the economy takes off like rocket .
    Oh, but, the wealthy won't be make themselves into trillionaires?

    Great history lesson Ari, the last time the nation had such good jobs numbers was at the end of 4 years of Johnson's 'Great Society'. Republican austerity comes out of the hides of those that can least afford it. The last sound economic policy from the GOP was from Progressive Republican Eisenhower.

    Jobs are all well and good. And I'm happy about that, however housing and the price of goods are off the charts. I would think staying in your home and the ability to feed your family would be what is on most families mind.

    I listen to Rep. Dingell invoke the presence of the forefathers. For all their individual quirks and foibles, the forefathers were a remarkable group of men who undertook one of the greatest experiments in self government in all of history. They mattered. Today, that connection, while not lost, is certainly heavily diluted, or reimagined and misinterpreted to suit partisan political narratives. As she correctly points out, do you really believe that the forefathers woud condone and leave unchallenged the rampant abuse of firearms that annually leaves so many americans dead? They'd be horrified! Republican actors would have little political interest in revealing the actual thoughts and intentions of these men for fear of exposing how far from their path they have wandered..
