Rep. Dean: Trump ‘Lit The Match’ That Caused The Capitol Hill Riots | Andrea Mitchell | MSNBC
Congresswoman and impeachment manager Madeleine Dean (D-PA) tells Andrea Mitchell that President Trump “lit the match,” causing the riots at the Capitol on January 6. Dean also pushed back on the notion that impeaching a former president is unconstitutional. “And we do know, number one, it is constitutional because the text of the constitution is not just about removal as a result of impeachment and conviction but also future disqualification. Sen. Murphy: Proposed Relief Bill ‘Could Get Us Through What Could Be A Very Hard And Deadly Winter’
Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) joins Andrea Mitchell to discuss the proposal of a $908 billion COVID relief bill by a bipartisan group of senators as 14 million Americans could lose unemployment aid by the end of December. Sen. Murphy says, “This amount of money could get us through what could be a very hard and deadly winter. This isn’t big enough to be able to get us to the point where the entire country is vaccinated. But it might be enough to make sure that millions of Americans don’t go hungry, don’t starve, don’t die out on the streets this winter when their jobless benefits expire and when protections for evictions expire.” Aired on 12/01/2020.

At just a few minutes shy of 2 pm EDT the House concluded its vote for Speaker. Its October 25, 2023. Less than a month before the moved goalpost for the fiscal year 2024 budget, THe House can now finally get back to work on passing the needed appropriations to fund the government, plus give aid to Israel and Ukraine, plus secure our border with Mexico. The final vote was 220-209. The Speaker of the House is now, Michael Johnson of Louisiana.

Meadows got immunity for his statements made to the federal grand jury. Those statements cannot be used against him in federal court. It does not mean he is immune from prosecution, either at the federal or the state level. He's not gonna enjoy prison in Georgia.
